We’re proud to be a long-standing East LA favorite known for our burritos, especially the iconic chile relleno burrito, and the consistency of homemade quality in every bite.
La Azteca Tortilleria has earned its reputation by staying true to its roots. Our tortillas are made fresh in house daily, and we source real, genuine Mexican ingredients to preserve the authenticity of the flavor.
In 2023, we expanded to a second location at 287 S Atlantic Blvd to better serve our community, with more space and parking. With rising rent and logistical challenges at the original location on Cesar Chavez, we made the difficult decision to fully move operations to the newer site beginning July 2025.
Our mission is simple: deliver authentic Mexican food with heart, honor our heritage, and continue being a gathering place for family, locals, and food lovers alike.
Our flour tortillas are handcrafted daily — thin, soft, and flavorful. It’s not just a wrapper; it’s part of the experience.
This is our star. A whole poblano pepper stuffed with cheese, wrapped inside beans, salsa, and meat (if you choose) — all encased in our fresh tortilla. Many consider it the must-order item.
We offer a concise but robust menu: breakfast burritos, carne asada burritos, carnitas, chorizo, tacos, scrumptious salsas (green and red), and all the sides that complete a real Mexican plate.
